At 0553hrs on 4/12/08 Station 27 was dispatched to a single car MVA with entrapment. Upon arrival it was determined that the vehicle was on its roof and there was one victim unconscious inside. The victim was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of RHVAC and Mobilemedic. Due to thunderstorms in the area medivac's were grounded and the patient was transported to the local hospital).

On Feb 23rd the Rock Hill FD with assistance from Wurtsboro & Mountaindale FD's performed a Live Fire Drill. Four live fire evolutions were conducted to give members practice in hoseline advancement and extinguishment for single room & contents fires. After the evolutions were completed, the operation shifted to an exterior defensive mode control burn at the owners request. The officers of the RHFD would like to thank property owner Scott Mace for donating this structure for live fire training.

On Feb 10th the Rock Hill FD hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast with "Real Maple Syrup". We would like to thank all of those who attended, including New York State Senator Jon Bonacic, who is being served in the picture below by RHFD Asst. Chief Josh Meddaugh. We hope to see all of those who attended again next year.
